Green Society of India Engages with Delhi Government on Cyclothon and Sustainability Initiatives
The Green Society of India (GSI) team recently had the privilege of meeting Shri Kapil Mishra, Hon’ble Minister of Law & Justice, Labour & Employment, Development, Art & Culture, Language & Tourism at the Delhi Secretariat. The discussion focused on GSI’s Cyclothon 2025 – Ride for the Next Generation initiative, aimed at promoting green commuting, environmental awareness, and community well-being.
The Hon’ble Minister expressed strong support for the initiative and has invited the GSI team for a follow-up meeting next week, alongside key stakeholders from the cycling community, to explore further collaboration.
During the meeting, GSI also presented its ongoing programs in Waste Management and E-Waste Collection, emphasizing the importance of expanding these initiatives across tourism departments and public venues in Delhi. The NGO requested active cooperation with the Delhi Government to maximize the reach and impact of these sustainability programs.
This engagement marks an important step toward building meaningful partnerships, advancing sustainable practices, and fostering a cleaner, greener, and healthier Delhi.
