Green Society of India Partners with Kuehne+Nagel for Plastic Pollution Awareness

Promoting Sustainable Practices for a Cleaner Tomorrow

On June 19, 2025, the Green Society of India (GSI) conducted a comprehensive awareness session at Kuehne+Nagel, Jhajjar, Gurugram, focusing on the urgent issue of plastic pollution. The session, held from 3–5 PM, emphasized the harmful effects of single-use plastics, offered practical strategies to reduce plastic consumption, and encouraged employees to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives.

Driving Change Beyond Awareness

As part of the initiative, GSI and Kuehne+Nagel launched a Waste Management and Plastic Pollution Combat drive at their Bilaspur warehouse. Employees and warehouse staff actively participated, learning hands-on sustainability practices and demonstrating a commitment to reducing plastic waste and promoting environmental responsibility.

The energy and dedication displayed by the team were truly inspiring. This collaboration highlights how sustainability begins at every level of an organization—from executive leadership to frontline staff—and shows that collective action can lead to meaningful change.

  • Raised awareness about plastic pollution and its long-term impact on the environment.
  • Educated employees on practical steps to reduce single-use plastic at work and at home.
  • Engaged warehouse staff in hands-on waste management practices, fostering a culture of sustainability.
  • Strengthened the partnership between corporate entities and environmental organizations for community-centered impact.

A Step Toward Greener Workplaces and Communities
